Room Hire

The school room is £13.80 per hour

At 10m x 7m the school room is ideal for life drawing / sculpture, workshops and teaching.

The school room comes equipped with tables, chairs and stools, whiteboards, easels, and a sink. There is a changing room for life models and good seating and lighting. There is access to WIFI, toilets and a rest room for tea and coffee breaks. We will advertise your event via our website and social media ouputs.

Class Room / Teaching Room Hire - Terms & Conditions 

By booking the classroom or teaching room, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions set out below and they will be incorporated into the contract between you and Bath Artists’ Studios (‘BAS’). Please ensure you have read and understood the following terms.

Payment for your booking becomes due on the booking being confirmed. Until we receive payment, we reserve the right to release your booking to another customer. Booking cancellations must be notified to us in writing. If a cancellation is made up to 28 days in advance of the date of booking, a refund will be offered. Refunds for cancellations notified less than 28 days in advance of the date of booking are at BAS’ sole discretion. 

If any of these terms and conditions are not complied with, BAS reserves the right to cancel the booking and will not be liable for any costs or consequential losses that you may incur.

General: 

● The teaching room costs £13.80 per hour to hire and the the classroom (L8) is £12 per hour 

● If your workshops involve working with children or vulnerable adults, it is a condition of hire that you provide us with the safeguarding documentation requested by us and as set out in our policies. 

Your commitments: 

● Where a tutor is collaborating with one or more other participants, the names and contact details of other participants must be provided to the BAS studio manager ahead of commencement, along with any requested paperwork. 

● Exhibitors will be given access to the key box and gate code. These codes must not be shared with anyone else. Tutors will be responsible for securing the building if they have checked that they are the last to leave. You will be given an induction on arrival. 

● The teaching room and classroom must be left in a clean and tidy condition and if working with clay, tables wiped down with wet cloths to prevent dust. 

● On hiring the classroom or teaching room you agree to comply with health and safety policies available to view on the website and to not bring candles or a naked flame into the building. 

● BAS does not accept responsibility for loss or damage of work or property whilst on site. 

● BAS does not take responsibility for class bookings for your courses or ongoing communications with any students. All bookings must be made through your own booking processes and no bookings or payments can be made through BAS’ processes or bank account. 

● Please notify us via the Submission Proposal form if you have any specific accessibility requirements. Please note that parking is very limited and priority is given to loading and unloading, disabled parking and our resident studio holders. If you do require parking, this must be arranged in advance and by agreement with the BAS studio manager.

Our commitment: 

● Social media posts and a Mailchimp invite for the private view to our mailing list subscribers, and a free ‘Whats on in Bath’ listing are also included in the price. BAS takes no other responsibility for the marketing or administration of your event.

● Tutors should provide a short statement (max 250 words) and 3-6 Instagram images (1080x1080pix), website details, Instagram handle (list of Keywords) 

• Our Privacy Notice can be found on our website.

● For any enquiries, the studio manager’s regular days are Mondays and Tuesdays and one floating day (details of third day are on the office door). In emergencies only, please contact Jo 07538518985 

While reasonable precautions are taken by us to ensure the security and safety of the space being hired to you, BAS shall not in any way be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you or the persons using the space you have hired from us. Nothing in these terms shall limit or exclude our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, any fraudulent misrepresentation or any other liability for which it is unlawful to exclude or limit liability. Our total liability for any matter arising out of the contract shall in all circumstances be limited to the charges paid by you for the room hire and we shall not be liable to you for any consequential loss whatsoever.

Our smaller classroom cost £12 ph to hire

Ideal for smaller, desk-based classes (up to 8-9 people).
